My Daddy Taught me early on...

My Daddy taught me early on, the many important things in life. But of the many important things, there are a select few that stuck with me, and make me up into the not so ordinary individual I am today. First, was that I am his Princess and baby girl. Yes he has spoiled me and I will never apologize for accepting anything less from any man who may come into my life. Second, was to listen to The Beatles and sing the lyrics on the top of your lungs. The Beatles, because of my Daddy, have been a force in my life since I was old enough to grasp the meaning behind “let it be” and “all you need is love”. Third, was to shoot a gun and hit a target. Even though I was a girl, I knew no boundaries and no fear and I was never held back by societal views. Fourth, was to run as of my life depending on it. He never failed to be there to watch me leave my heart on that track or that dirt trail, and I needed him there to see it. Fifth, was to put my education first. No matter how tough the classes got and how many papers I wrote, he always knew I was destined for great things, and to be somebody. Sixth, is to have strength and be his hero. Through the years of uncontrollable pain and life altering disease, Daddy is there to have undying faith in me and to pray for a better tomorrow knowing that his baby girl can make it though. Seventh, is to be proud. To be proud of all I am and all that I can become in the future, and that hopefully he can see himself in the woman that is his little Princess…

Thank you Daddy, for making me un-ordinary in my own respect. I love you so much.
